After Kensal Library’s first Eid party being a great success, we decided to have a second one. The turnout was fantastic and brought the Golborne community together. We were expecting only 15 people but we had a whooping number of over 30!
We began the afternoon with a competitive quiz about Islam where children of all ages took part. I could see everyone brought their game faces and jumped at the chance to answer the questions. We had one lucky winner, Kenza, who no one could compete with. She won cool funky sunglasses.
After this, we played a game of pass-the-parcel where everyone’s hands were quick to pass-the-parcel along and unwrap the presents.
One of our regulars, Nassar said: “I loved today and I want Kensal Library to have more Eid parties”.
I would like to say a huge thanks to The Hummingbird Bakery for donating their scrumptious cupcakes to us. Without their dedicated support, the day would not have been as successful as it was. After all, everyone loves cupcakes!
Also I would like to thank the Rainbow Newsagent in Golborne Road, for donating toys to the children.
