The Summer Reading Challenge will take place in all our libraries over the school summer holidays in July and August. It is the biggest national reading initiative and is run by nearly every public library in the UK.
The challenge is for the children, aged four to 11, and it is simple: to read six or more library books over the summer. The theme for the Summer Reading Challenge in 2012 is Story Lab.
To kick start the challenge, we will be hosting weekly story and craft sessions. Starting Thursday 2 August until Thursday 30 August 2012, at Kensington Central Library, 2pm to 3.30pm.
Please come into one of the Kensington and Chelsea Branches and ask a member of staff for further details, or check our library website.
